I'm not usually big on "fan art" (or even much "fan fiction" though sometimes it can be fun) but I popped over to www.phoenixsong.net the other day, a site dedicated to both. I was curious to know if anyone yet was creating and posting things post-DH (I know it sometimes takes a while for such sites to begin to allow posting, partly because they want to avoid spoilers).
There's a really fine artist posting work there. And Erin, knowing how much you love Luna's character, I thought you'd like to see this lovely illustration titled "Loony's Ballet." I think it does a lovely, vibrant job of capturing the moment where Luna danced alone at the Weasley wedding.

Enjoy!

Oooh, that is lovely! Thanks for posting it! Captures her wispiness and vibrance very well, I'd say! :)
Me too! I like some of the other things this artist has posted too. There's one she calls "Albus Severus" that shows an adult Harry seeing his little boy off on the Hogwarts Express. Really nice!
Whoops -- sorry. She actually calls that painting "Named for Two Headmasters." I've been trying to figure out if I can post these; actually followed her link from phoenixsong over to where she has her gallery. Apparently she's in her 20's and lives in Hungary (the artist, I mean). And there's a way you can post her things to your blog, if you want, but only if you use livejournal or myspace or one other thing I'm forgetting (not here, in other words...bummer).
Ah... That's a bummer. Checked it out though - very nice! I'm impressed with a lot of these artistic renderings. And I sneaked a peek at the poetry section too and am loving "The Snape Who (Almost) Stole Christmas"...
